For Life is a metaphoric exploration of connection and lack of connection in a relationship. Sometimes the hearts are beating in sync, at other times they are out of sync. The audio and video used in this work anchors it as a double portrait.
The video is meant to be displayed on a wall, at the same height at which a portrait is customarily hung. The audio is sampled from stethoscope recordings, so the third party perspective is evident, as is the idea that this is an examination of a relationship.
